tailgate issue closing

every now and then I have the following problem: I close the tailgate, then it closes, and at the end it clicks open a bit again, the lock does not pull the tailgate, usually I am just in the car, then I have to open the tailgate from the outside 4 or 5 times to get it closed properly, how do I solve this
