tapping/clicking sound from engine in LCR

Hi Guys,

Before anyone says i should have done a search regarding this - i already did! I have read many threads regarding the tapping sound that comes from the LCR engine but just wanted to clarify a couple of things.

Should this noise be noticeable in the car? It is very noticeable in my case!

Is it there constantly? i only noticed today (picked up car yesterday) I was sitting in the car messing with the stereo when it suddenly started, this was after about 3 or 4 minutes of idling. If i rev the engine gently for a bit it goes away but comes back after about 30 seconds.

should the tapping sound stay at one pace? It seems to vary slightly with my car.

very normal they all do it and you can hear it in the car so don't worry.
as said above it's only the carbon canister
