It's is built in a VW factory :). Ateca in a Skoda factory. I always thought the build may be better, but assembled in Germany would mean higher costs.
Was told originally that it was to be built in Spain but was told in April it was being built in Wolfsburg.

Phew. The wife hates a rattle and we've had one in our ix35 since new. Think that's the main thing she is looking forward to getting rid of.
Just seen your pics on another threat, looks good and liking the lights once lit up
yes, the lights are fantastic, so bright

Picking it up this wednesday.
You still enjoying yours? Done many long trips? Drive comfy, using the drive options?
Yes, loving it even more now that I had it for 500 miles or so. No long trips, longest was 50 miles. Mine's a manual so the drive options are really no that different without the DSG. It's very refined, quiet and comfy. Loads of room for us. Panoroof is my fave for now and the torque is much more than I am used to. Pulls really well the diesel. Even on 19 inch rims it's comfortable. I get a lot of second glances as I have not seen any yet on the road.
I love the lane assist, ACC and self parking features, all really work well. Also the automatic rear braking when you ignore the parking sensors flashing red. Had a near miss and the car stopped on it's own. Visibility is really great and maneuvering thanks to the adaptive steering really easy, only one turn of the wheel needed for full lock.

Post some pics when you get it!

Picked it up today. I'm liking it so far, the wife is still getting used to an automatic. We have the panoramic sunroof, was a non option with the wife and it floods the bay with light which is always good. Shame the weather is pants today and it's been raining. Have some pics. Hope they come out ok.

Still liking it mate. Kids love going in the "boot' and we like them there too. Drive is much nicer than our old ix35 too.
Wife's first drive was a nervous one, she went out on her own but was using the brake and accelerator together. Shes finally got used to it.
I was a little unsure in the blue when we ordered it but in reality it's a nice colour and when the sun comes out it has some sparkle in it.
No long journeys yet and it's pretty much in eco drive most of the time, I've used sports mode a couple of times and the paddle shifts a couple of times, was not expecting much but pleasantly surprised on the pull.
Saw you coated yours? Is it worth it? Thinking more for my ibiza cupra

Time will tell, it gives a great beading even now after it's a bit dirty and is supposed to easily clean, they give you 3 year warranty, you can't really see it per se.

Glad you like the car, we do as well it's a pleasure to drive, lots of room everywhere and very comfy. Better than I was expecting so really looking forward how it is going to hold up during our 2000 miles round trip in Summer.

@DallowCupra how you getting on with your car?
Hiya, still loving it. The wife is fully used to it, shes a little dissapointed on the guzzling of petrol but it's actually not that bad, I'd say similar to my ibiza cupra. I'm at least used to the petrol usage.
Only done a few long trips, just 50 miles here and there and its comfortable to drive and be a passenger in. Much smoother than our old ix35.
Still smelt new until yesterday when my 5 year old yakked all over the back!

Looks fantastic, I was really hoping for an Atlantic Blue one like yours, I think it's the best colour on the Tarraco, Green is very nice too, but that blue really suits the car in my opinion, better than my Indium Grey one does anyway.
