Tcs kicking in

i dont want to have to switch the TCS off everytime io get in the car as its a safety aid surely...... :confused:
It's a driving aid rather than a safety aid - it will save you a few pounds on new tyres and also help people who can't feed the throttle.

But it is a bit brute force as you say, and in fact a little wheel spin is often a hell of a lot better than massive power loss just when you need it.

I leave it on in the wet to keep help my tyres last a little longer, but when I want to make quick progress it goes off!

The 'safety aid' you mention will be the ESP - and you can't actually shut this off (whatever the button in your car says on it).
