tcs light wont go off now ive changed maf sensors

cars been very hesitant the last couple of weeks so decided to get another maf sensor, however when i changed sensors the traction control light stays on, i then changed back to the old sensor and it stays on with that one aswell.

help, this is driving me crazy.

Disconnect battery for 10 minutes to reset ecu, job done!

done that and tcs light goes off on old sensor but stays on the on the spare one i picked up. does this mean the one i picked up is knackered?
