Free if you know some one with VAG COM.

I'm not an expert but it could just be a fuse or something. You'll have too speak to some one who knows more than me.

But TBH it could be the sensors and knowing VAG car parts prices i don't think they are gonna be cheap.

But it's not a vital thing. I know i'm gonna get slatted for saying that but it's not!

Unless u boot it all day long then your tyres won't spin that much and i take it you stopped ok as i've only ever felt my ABS a few times in the wet.

Take it into a specialist who can check everything.

Well there you go mate. always good to know some one with vag com!! That sounds well cheap aswell!!! As i said my mates on a fiesta were nearly £200!!! All you need to do to test abs is stamp on the brakes!!!

Thanks guys.
And cheers m0rk, I’ll owe you a whole crate of beer before long :p
I know it's not a major issue, but I’m a perfectionist, and little things annoy me. I'd also like it sorted before the roads start getting icy... ABS and TCS are two things I certainly don't want to be without on slippery roads :)

I'll drop u a PM bud and we can arrange a convenient time to hook up. ;)

PS.
All you need to do to test abs is stamp on the brakes!!!
I've been stamping on them all the way home...! Problem is, the car just stops :p (fairly sure i should of had the ABS cut in a few times though)

sure... no probs

You do want to get the ABS sorted - the bias is horribly wrong if there is no ABS to sort it out.

Heres one for you, rwad the owners guid and it will say, in slipery/icey conditions turn off the traction control.

I had to investigate naturally, on some grass in my girlfrieds field i did two burnouts, one with it on and one with it off. with it off, lots of spin and a very muddy car. With it on it took over, tried to stop the wheels from spinning and stalled the engine.

ABS on the other hand is fantastic as we have EBD (Electronic Break Distribution) and when tried last year in the ice i was amazed. hammered the breaks, turned and it went round the corner.

Goog job VW!!!

do the switches where you turn the TCS / heated rear windows break as when i press my heated rear window button nothing happens but when i keep it pressed in it works ok? any ideas?

loose connection???

does the heated rear screen button click??? If both don't work definately sounds like a fault with the switches.
