Just wondering,

my beeza has done mainly town driving before i got it, can see this from the brake disc wear and steering wheel wear and lack of stone chips etc.

Just wondring as well as me clearing out with some long trips, 1000 miles since last saturday, ooops!! is there anything i can run through the system to clean the injectors. Anyone know.

cheers

Just give it a good blast Ant, hold it in 5th untill about 125mph, that should do the trick.

Have redex in mine at the moment, made it run smoother and helped with starting as well.

Well i went for some Diesle Magic Stuff. Only went that way cos i got it free form my mate. Will try some ultimate, but tried it years ago when it first cam e out and did'nt notice any difference apart from the price

i would say dont bother with any supposed cleaners (which once watered down into your tank cant surely do much) but anyway others will no doubt disagree. But would say quite simply a good cross country blast (ie not motorway) for a tanks worth would be more than adequete.

That helps for sure, but, not meaning to be rude, a tank of fuel costs more than the cleaners, especially if you go for a blast (and your on a budget like me ;)).

Reason I put it in was to help with starting, which was taking too long in the cold, sadly my cars on the street at the moment.

additives do work as any diesel MOT tester will you. The standard trick for getting though emissions on some of the older cars is new airfilter and a shot of injector cleaner straight in the fuel filter.

Used to do this every year on my Citroen ZX TD for MOT - Forte Diesel Conditioner in the fuel filter housing, then a good thrash down to the MOT station. Always got through the emissions. And for years I used Millars fuel additive, but haven't yet for the Ibiza. I've noticed though, that alot of SCN and our fellow Skoda drivers are using Millars on the PD engine.
