last tankfull i averaged 40mpg locally and about 70miles of motorway.

what does everyone else get?

is mine low, if so what can be causing this?

this is what i got today on a 270mile round trip :) in a ibiza tdi sport remaped
to 160bhp

mpg-copy.jpg

then again i was doing 60-70mph all the way there and back.

i put £30 in the car when red light come on did the 270miles and as you can see still had over half a tank left :p

I'd love to get 40mpg average. My tiptronic bammer guzzles fuel. about 25 in town and motorways between 70-80 mph is around 36mpg. It does weigh more than 2 ton so i suppose i shouldnt complain lol. my old r reg bammer got 45mpg average on decent runs but that was a manual so i may have to trade in again. Does anyone know why co2 levels on autos is much higher than manuals cos i just got tax renewal ands its £195 for mine but much cheaper if i had 2.0tdi and mines is 1.9tdi?

i've had my car since wednesday, never had a journey below 45mpg.
my MFA2 is reading 52mpg average over the 350ish miles i've done since wednesday. i can easily hit 50mpg in town roads and high 50's out of town
on half tank of diesel i have covered 280miles so not too bad, im still loving the turbo pull so its been getting a bit of a play

I've had mine about 5 weeks now and on the trip 2 mog, it's showing as 38.6mpg... I have been booting it almost everywhere though! On trip 1 I've seen near 55mpg though (70-90mph).

since having mine i havent really managed to do a tank on all round driving, but should find out this week. car is going down to london and back

I normally get 550 miles out of my tank, also if you look at the other thread you will see more

you are all very lucky i get 280 miles to a tank my car does go well but would there be anything that would bring the mpg down. i do have a heavy right foot but even when driving easy its still doesnt really deliver good mpg . seems to use the same amount of fuel wether i drive hard or easy.

not sure mate, but that dont sound to good!

on the £30 iv now done 350miles and the last 80miles iv been
giving it some like close to redline and its now on 1/4 of a tank
saying i have 90miles left. thats off £30 i couldnt be more happy!

440 miles off £30?

thats what the computer is saying! i will easy get 400 but dont forget
270miles was motorway and driving at 60-70mph.

oh ok

my figures are all from tank fillings, no on-board computer on mine.

plus when im on my mway, too hard for me to do 60mph

hopefully get cruise fitted over the summer

trust me it was mega mega hard to stick to 60mph but was worth it.

cant see my next £30 lasting that long lol

380is miles so far, 1/4 tank remain from £40 and about 150 miles i think the computer said, might be a bit less
hit 65.4mpg today on a 42 mile run, i was chuffed its the most mpg i ever seen

b12 - if your getting 40mpg and its mainly town driving i would say that sounds fine. TDis gets their best economy on long runs, Motorways and a roads. Take it for a long trip (ie 250 miles to devon or the like) then see what you get. Im sure it will be fine.

i dont think 40mpg sounds that good as if i take it easy round town i can easy
hit 50mpg!

well the old man's taken the car yesterday to London and will be back today (~300miles).

i'll see how much of the tank has been used, and then when i next fill up, i can work out the exact mpg
