TDI refused to start

Last week, hubby & I nipped up the road to go out for dinner. On the way (about 1mile down the road), he stopped off to chat to a friend. 5 minutes later, he hopped back in the car, and tried to start it, only it wouldn't. The coil light was flashing, and it was only on the 3rd/4th attempt that the car finally started.

Any ideas?

The car is going in to the garage on Friday anyway, but thought i'd ask you guys first.

sounds like a duff glow plugs, wiring or relay - garage check best, its under warranty anyway.

I'm going there on Friday, so i'll mention it again. This is now the 2nd time it has happened. Last time they told me everything was ok.
