How the hell do you get to the drivers side sidelight?! i can't even get the cover off there is no room. Any helpful tools / tips?

i managed to do it and i aint got the smallest of hands, cant remember how i managed it though but i did end up with cuts down my arm

Yep, bumper off.

I have a 1.2 SX and mine was tight!

My mate has 1.9FR and we had his bumper last weekend for the same thing.

Best thing to do is buy LED sidelights and you will never change them again.

P.S. Could someone tell me what the name of colour is, it's not in the owners manual.
It's the kind of light blue / kind of silver colour....

you seriously don't have to take off the bumper. i've got small hands so i can do it but why not get someone younger or a lady to do it. and tell them how to, as they do it.LOL

The picture in your avatar is glacier blue I believe.

Re. the sidelights - it is tight but you can change them without removing the bumper, just take your tine and be patient. I also found turning the sidelights on helps as it illuminates the area a bit.

Unless you buy cheapo ones from ebay and they blow within days! [:@] You get what you pay for...

There no need to take the bumper off at all!!! i done it pretty easy on my fr tdi and i've not got the smallest hands. deffo no need to take the bumper off lol

might be worth trying to pop the rear case of with a lever of some kind (screwdriver?) then you if approach the light from the back of the car if that makes sense, as if you arm was coming in the casing for the headlight from the windscreen. Hope this helps. :D

It can be done even with large hands. However be prepared to do the following.

1) Swear a lot
2) Get angry
3) Bleed

Be carefull not to lose the clip that holds the cover on as i had mine ping off and vanish off to live with the intercooler. Had to hoik it out with a magnet.

In fact it's getting the cover back on that is the hardest part, especially when it's drivers side.

Good luck :)

yeh its a right pain to change them, cut meself a few times on the edge on the engine bay, not fun, sidelights are in a stupid place, but look dammm good if you have the blues
