Hello,

Having just ordered a CRDT2 from TDI tuning for my Leon I'm intrigued to say the least . Has anybody else used this particular box?

Could you reply with any feedback on said box please.

Thanks,
Sam

I had one on my Cupra 280. In fact I've still got it, but I've since had mine remapped as I'm now out of my warranty period.

The box increases the power considerably. My box is of the older type (unscrew it and move a plastic pin to the map setting you want).

For the money they offer good bang for buck.

Cheers for the reply. I've read that for the £ and the fact you can remove them they are a good buy. I managed to get one second hand off someone who has the exact same car as me so got a proper bargain. I bet your motor flies. did you see a big gain on the Re map? Did you notice improved fuel economy with the box?

The tuning box upped the power to around 330bhp, 330 lb-ft. I settled on running the box on the middle setting which gives the best economy / performance ratio. I found the maps higher than the middle setting a bit rough.

The difference in performance between the TDI Tuning box and the remap is noticeable. The remap gave me an extra 40bhp and 40 lb-ft. The box still delivered a very linear boost though. The difference between stock and box is bigger than the difference between box and remap. So the box is great value.

I have one on my 184 and it gives a noticeable amount of extra power, and if driven gently an increase in mpg.
The customer service I've had from TDI Tuning has been excellent, well above and beyond what you could reasonably expect from any company.

Nice one. Looking forward to having a play. Did you get a rolling road test done post re map?

Awesome. I have heard good things about TDI tuning. I notice you have a DSG too. DO you find it works in sport auto mode the best or manual shifts?

Cheers,
Sam

Sounds about right. I notice you have soundproofed in your sig. Not sure if you have posted about this before but could you enlighten me on exactly what you have had done on that?

I vary rarely use Sport Auto as it seem to hang on to the revs way to long and is only good for flat out driving style really. Manually flapping the paddles works well as the extra torque means you don't need to rev it all that hard to make good progress.
I use eco mode most of the time for normal driving as it 'short shifts' through the gears with the big dollop of torque available from about 1700rpm.

I'd be interested in this too as there is way too much road noise for my liking.

Got the CRDT2 fitted now. Took me 5 minutes to fit after i figured out which exact plug my fuel rail was. The boost port was easy to locate. If anybody wants any help on fitting one i could do a small video.

Day 2 and seen a 15% increase in what my average MPG says. Will test on a full tank. Last month i got like 525 miles and the average was around 52mpg. will see what miles i get next time i fill up and use a full tank.

Got the tdi tuning box on the top performance setting, and can safely say the power has increased significantly. I timed 0-60 at 7.1 seconds. Stock 0-60 is 8.5 seconds.

Will ost more updates once i have drove with it for a few weeks.

Peace out.

The mpg figures will be over reading by about 10% over normal (which over reads as standard). Remember the box fools the ecu into putting more fuel in than it thinks. Having said that, I do get better mpg with mine fitted than standard, but I changed the calibration figure (100 to 109) with obdeleven to get it reading in line with reality!
Enjoy your box!

How does this OBdeleven work? Could you give me some info on this? thanks for the info

It's an android phone app and a dongle that plugs into the obd port.
It lets you change a few things on the car (see the current obdeleven thread for an idea of what can be done) and one of the parameters that you can change is related to the calibration of the mpg readout...
