Best of luck with the sale El. I'll look forward to hearing about your next car. Glad to hear its not going to be broken as its just too nice and too many seem to be taken off the road for good. Best wheels too ;) Keep us posted :)

Thanks gents. Would like to see it get snapped up by the right type of person as opposed to seeing it wrapped around a tree by some twat but lets see.

Already had some early interest so fingers crossed :)

Sold

Deal done on the LCR. Things are happening very quickly for me these days. Sad but happy also. Someone a lot of you know will be making a comeback........who remembers Willie with his track focused LCR (ex Junior Senior)?

Rotas are off and will be sold separately. Buyer wasn't bothered about the wheels and was happy to have the car with the OEM wheels so I have switched them over placing my fresh Toyo T1 Sport tyres on them as I know he will be abusing them.

Happy with the sale and the price it's gone for and I'm sure Willie is also very happy with the deal he is getting. Very surprised how quick it has sold to be honest. Plan now is to stay car-less for a little bit so I can get on with my other priorities and then at a later stage go on the hunt for another beast :)

Some pics from yesterday. Headed over to my mate at Goodrims who swapped over the wheels. Weird seeing the OEM wheels back on the car. Got so use to the Rota wheels. Also made a quick stop for the car to see it's uncle D.K for the last time seen as it spent so much time on his drive being modified ;)

Thanks gents. Going to a good home indeed. I am sure Willie has plenty of plans lined up for the car.

Whilst getting the car ready for it's new drive home, I decided to disconnect the battery today. It is known for the ECU to constantly adjust itself from day to day driving and when changing parts which could affect how it drives the ECU could do with a quick reset. I did this before when I was having a few boosting issues which were rectified. After doing it today I went for a quick little blast and boy am I going to miss this thing. The noise is immense, the torque is simply crazy and the overall buzz is unbelievable. No wonder we all love these things :)

After that little bit of hooliganing I installed the OEM Aura radio today only for it to go into SAFE mode..............fail! Did some research and found a nifty technique to sort this issue:

  1. Turn on stereo, with no ignition on - should light up and say SAFE
  2. Leave the stereo on, lock the car, and go away for a couple of hours
  3. Come back to the car - the stereo should of shut off by itself, if it hasn't leave it until it does, has been known to take several hours, but on a first lock out, probably no more than 2 hours.
  4. Once you see the stereo has turned off, go back to the car, turn on the stereo, it should flash SAFE then 1000
  5. Enter your 4 digit code as normal
Luckily this worked for me.

Time to sit back and relax now. Waiting for Thursday when it is being picked up!

Sad to see it go but at least to a fellow enthusiast
Is Willie planning on carrying on with where he left off with his last one? track car?
Don't be a stranger though dude, expect to see you call in from time to time

Not entirely sure what route he will go down. He is a track guy at heart so guessing he will make it more track focused but whether he will go to the extent of the previous one I am not sure on.

Will for sure check in from time to time. Still so many awesome builds happening on this site so would be good to see how you all get on. Chop chop on your 4wd big turbo monster :D

Thanks for bringing her round for one last time yesterday mate :) shame we didn't get to do that final photo shoot or give her a proper send off.
Let me know if you start missing the boost and I'll pop round ;)

Hey all,

Yip I'm soon to be back in a LCR, a very nicely looked after and modded one at that.
El has done most of what I would have done to another LCR anyway.

As has been said we're both happy with the deal.
I know the financial outlay modding a car brings but also know the massive loss when selling up.

My plans are to just drive and enjoy this one for now.
No plans just now for severe track abuse but no doubt the odd track session will be attended. This I hope is a more pleasureable car to drive down to the Nurburg ring. My LCR was bad enough driving down to Knockhill, which was only 2 hours...well sometimes 1hr 45 mins.
I have a Honda Integra Type R DC2 which is currently getting fiddled with for a more focussed approach. Having this car will allow me to take the DC2 off the road for the winter and get on with it.

El, I will look after your car as you have, I will try and keep it as clean as you would.

The rest of you guys, thanks for the respect :)

Bye bye LCR :(

Was awesome while it lasted. Weird seeing the car driven off by someone else. Great guy Willie, wish him all the best with the car. Time to go back to sulking it has gone now.

One last pic of 'princess' as my family and fiancée called it :)

 to the good times gone by 'Princess' - the name couldn't be any more wrong about the cars' character!

Pleased for you though at the same time as being disappointed it's gone, onto bigger things in your life which the sale will help you nicely with mate.

When I get my car back you can hunt me down in the VW Fox or whatever it was lol :p
