Hey guys,

Bought a pair of Team Heko Wind Deflectors for my Leon Cupra R. Upon fitting them was told to leave windows up for 24 hours so they could mould to the window, this has been 3 days now and still having issues getting windows up properly.

Anyone got any ideas how to solve this?

Have them on my ibiza mk 4 and never had any problems.

I fitted them without the clips.

Initially the window wouldn't go all the way up and would auto go down .. After 5 or 6 up and downs, the issue never appeared again.

had mine for like 18months now, no problems at all, every now and again the when i put windows up itll come back down but once in a blue moon.

Yeah I fitted metal clips to all 4 deflectors drivers one was fine, every so often it stops and bounces back down but just so slow and tight going up, and passenger side wouldn't even go down but it's got easier. Al just give them time

maybe remove them and refit them using double sided tape, keeping them pressed against the window seal so that they bond to the seal and stay free from the route of the window

Just wanted to revive this thread to see if anyone has had any issues with folding mirrors while using these?

I was about to buy a set, but the eBay listing said they weren’t suitable for cars with auto folding wing mirrors. Is it really an issue, or is there a version that works with folding mirrors? Do they just rub against the deflectors, or would they actually break them?

Thanks in advance...

Even if you did have a problem with folding mirrors i believe you could trim away at the deflector to make it thinner at the location of the mirrors.

I have them fitted and folding mirrors I don’t have any issues with the mirrors I think they rest on them but don’t mark any of them even my drivers side one has a tiny bit on the bottom edge that goes into the seal so it sticks out at the bottom a bit more than usual

Brilliant - thanks both of you. Now I just have to persuade my other half that it'll look good...

I'm in the same boat as you with that one cant let her find my parts wish list... she'd kill me

To make it worse, she's the one who likes to drive with the windows down, so I'd be doing her a favour... Come to think of it, she was the reason I changed my driver's door lock, since she left the lights on because the door chime wasn't working. She owes me for that new battery I needed...
