Telematic module reusable?

I've sent my car to a local facility here in ROI (Co.Waterford) to replace SOS battery and update the electronics. I'll report how successful it is when the car comes back.
My strong preference was to have Yorkshire Retrofits do it as they've installed a reversing camera which works perfectly. But ferry transport to UK has become very inconvenient and expensive so I'm trying the local option.

all resolved with local VAG specialist. Replaced battery backup in telephonics module. All DTCs cleared. Well pleased with this outcome.
