Had my final accounting exam tuesday in Nottingham, 30 mile drive back, nice roads, like to have a play, flew past everything on the road, nothing could stop me. What a car!!

Came accross a Mini Cooper S, he wanted to play, haha I thought, "out of my way said The Beno"!!!

Well blow me, could I overtake him? There was nothing in it all the way to 110mph, (on my private stretch of road), but think he was at max and I still had another 20 mph to burn if the road had been suitable.

Could not believe it to be honest, well done BMW!!

But still embarassing, its a girls car for heavans sake (says me with the yellow Leon).

Bring on the clutch and remap, I will have my day!! Watch out Mini's here I come!!

Yup

I have an excuse though.. I'm sitting in a freezing cold server room working through four new server builds, so if I don't do something to stop my brain from freezing, I'll never be able to leave the room!

A remap will definately sort that out for you :)

Its all about the power to weight, and those small things can really fly like Rob said. Saw a GP one in manchester the other day and it shot off like a rocket!

Andy... I saw one of those GP ones the other day too, complete with funny metal spoiler and various other add on bits. Are they something special then? Was a tasty blonde bint driving it so glad I didn't get involved.. nothing worse than getting your backside handed to you by an attractive woman!

Beno... wooly gloves, Klix coffee and not standing in the same place for too long are the order of the day I think!

I'd agree with that... the standard Cooper S is only a pain off the line. With a rolling stard it's not problem at all, LCR will walk by happily... but not massively so. I mean, it's not a night and day difference, just enough to show I'm faster than you as you go past it. But the S Works is a different matter and would sit on the LCR's tail all day long.

I love slaying the Mini's :D

Specially blokes suited and booted in a Cooper S, or a Works is even better to beat as they think they are unrivalled lol

Would out handle me tho for sure!

MINIs aren't that light! Later ones are 170bhp and 1140kg. Same weight as a mk3 Ibiza.

A stock LCR should see one off fairly easily, especially as speeds rise.

Not that I like reminding people, since the Cooper S was what I learned in - and it really was a lovely car to drive.

But just look at it.

Really.

I mean, I know it's shallow. To judge on looks.

But when it looks like... ughh.. A short, fat bumper car - you can't help it.

A large boulder probably has the same acceleration as the Cooper S (downhill, of course) and at least a boulder's a bit manly.
