temp sender problem

hi, i changed my temp sender/sensor today but i can get the C clip back in, it mite jus be me being really thick but it just dosnt go back in. the original one snapped so i had to buy a new one from GSF but it still wont go in

can some one help plz

Did you make the o ring wet with coolant before you pushed it home?

You have removed the old o ring haven't you?

yh i i put in a new one and wet it with some coolant n pushes the sesor ina ll the way til it fit in snug, but the c clip still wouldnt go in

Can't be in far enough, mine took a wiggle to get it fully in.

i pushed it in pretty hard, im thinking that the gold metal bit at the end is a bit bigger than my old one, altho the guy at gsf said it should fit. i dunno il try again in the mornin, thanks for the help tho
