Temp Sensor?

My Tdi sport started to read all sorts of random temps for a few weeks (on the on-board computer) and now doesn't work at all! Is it just a sensor that needs replacing? If so where is it located?

not too sure where it is on yours, but on mine its on the passanger side of the engine in a water hose, you will see a green plug with a electrical connector attached

and if it is the same.... i have a spare

or does he mean outside temp sensor? If so it is housed within the n/s door mirror.

If it's the outside temp sensor it's been covered loads on the forum, a quick search will find you all the answers you need, but as lemonslap says it's in the passenger side wing mirror.

i should really read posts properly

if its on your on board computer and not your water temp then as the peeps have said, passanger door mirror underneath you will feel/see a small nipple, thats it

replacing it is simple
