Having a hobby that involves the countryside and walking boots there are times when I'm going to be getting in the wagon with footwear that's not minty clean so the Cupra supplied carpet mats are totally unsuitable. Cupra don't do rubber mats for RHD vehicles according to the accessory listings. After much searching I ordered a set of mats from CarMats4U.com, with a Michelin heel pad - circa £50. The mats came, look OK and fit the mounts at the front however they are almost smooth with a fine texture, truly aren't going to trap much water on a wet day, they are also fairly minimalist in size Close but no cigar!

Over the past 3 weeks I've watched a lot of YouTube videos (I've had a knee op and can't drive for 6 weeks) which have included reviews of the 2025 Audi Q3 SUV and have been able to confirm that the Audi is really close to the Terramar - same body shell - different tailgate, bonnet and bumpers, different dash and seats but sharing a lot of common components. The Q3 has proper accessory rubber (they are more like rubberised plastic) mats with deep grooves and shaped so as to retain fluids rather than have them run off and soak into the floor covering.

There is, of course, no way of knowing if the Q3 mats will fit the Terramar...other than buying a pair for the front - watch this space...£73.

Yay! The 2025 onwards Audi Q3 'rubber' floor mats fit perfectly - they have the Audi logo rings painted on them - I'm sure they will Scotchbrite off if it worried you. To me the Terramar will always be a better looking and incredibly good value Q3 - it drives like an Audi should

The mats are larger than Carmats4u items I bought, especially the drivers side with protection below that pedals and base of the foot rest - and also come further back towards the seats as well as being have a depth profile so liquids like snow-melt will stay on the mat rather than seeping off into the carpet.

The Audi part number (for RHD) is 83K061545 - I got mine from Ebay - not cheap at £73 - it is the case that you get what you pay for in this instance.

Now that’s what I call a proper front pair of rubber mats 👍; well designed to contain mud, snow melt, slush and general wetness, and no soggy carpets 🙂. They look similar to Weathertech mats that I don’t think we can get in RHD format in the UK.

I have OEM rubber mats in my Renault hybrid and I keep them in the car all year round. I quite like the utilitarian look of rubber mats; very good durability too, so there are no issues with the driver’s mat wearing through in high contact areas that often happens with carpet mats. Rubber mats are easy to clean too - a quick wipe over with a damp cloth or sponge after talking them out of the car and tipping any accumulated dirt off and they’re like new again.

They’re a good find! Am I right in thinking Cupra still don’t make rubber mats for the Terramar? My Terramar doesn’t arrive for a few months but rubber mats are a must for us, so I’m tempted to grab some of those Q3 mats…
