Terramar spare key fob-car settings back to square one.

Hi All.
I used my spare fob yesterday as the car said the battery was low in the one I've been using. When I started the car all the settings on the dials etc had gone back to default settings instead of the usual setup I use. ]
How can I stop that happening?
Do I have to say the key fob or something ?
Any advice appreciated.

Put a battery in your normal key, don't use the spare and see if your settings are restored.

Did that, and yes they're restored.

So how do I get the same settings on the spare remote?

Good question, as I was thinking this myself.

Good luck. Tried to do this to my keys, the idea being that my wife and I could have our own settings. Easy enough I thought as the 2018 Octavia we had previously could do it. I've tried a few times but as only one person could be a primary user it kept forgetting the secondary user. We now just use the one key and I have to put up with having my wifes name welcome me when I get in the car!
