The winter tyres are simply superb though from what i have read.
Cars going passed other cars with ease when they are fitted.

Or buy some snow socks.

I hope she seriously injured herself for her stupidity.

cant stand drink driving, :censored::censored::censored:[:@]

Unfortunately she wasn't injured at all. She was so far gone though she kept insisting 'I'm leaving I'm not staying here cos I shouldn't be driving, it only needs a new bumper anyway I know cos my boyfriend is a mechanic' to which I replied 'you're not going anywhere, new bumper? are you effing mental it's a write off, the wheel has cracked!' Rang cops :)

Drunks usually get off without any injusry , because they are all relaxed from being drunk , they dont tense up / brace themselves before an impact

sames as people who fall asleep

yet when your fully focused and wide awake , u could have a bump at 10 - 20 mile an hour and end up with injuries

last year i was using goodyear eagles and they where scary for trying to stop:(

You are correct Lee. Can fly past anyone even in the snow covered lane of dual tracks and motorways whilst people are stumbling into each other.
What gets me though is when people on summer tyres pull out into the snow covered lanes. Realise they can't actually control the car then have to pull back in.
My entire set of winter tyres cost me £360. So £90 a corner (17's of course). You can always drop to H rated which are slighty cheaper.

When it is freezing they come alive. They are not really an extra expense either when you think about it. They are used Dec-Mar so during that time my summer tyres are not getting worn down. And they should last at least three sessions. So I am just offsetting costs against each other. Plus I have the added security of knowing I still have all that extra traction in these conditions.

These 4x4 (truck) drivers get me, thinking they own the roads. Do they really think that there 2 and a half ton vehicle is going to stop before mine?! Just because they have traction to get going doesn't mean they are going to stop.

Yeah thats what I keep thinking, yeah they may have 4 driving wheels, but they still only have 4 braking wheels like any other car! but more weight to bring to a stop!

Funny thing to begin with I thought I was loosing traction and the traction control light had stopped working, I am driving very sensibly. but with new Verdesteins and deep grooves as tires are new, have to rev it to break traction. A good thing with a 2 year old on board.
