Text message/voice control from media unit

Lol at poor Leigh. I can just picture you stomping around the living room and kicking the poor dog.

It certainly is a phone thing with the text messages. If i put the phone on silent the car wont read.

The dog would have my leg off, I'll have to make do with just sulking quietly in a dark room.

If the phone supports the feature then I'd say it's possible yes.

bugger, is it possible to get nav updates so I can have full postcodes instead of partial?

I upgraded to maps V4 and I now have full postcode, this is on a media system 2.0 in an 59 plate car! You can also save the data from all the Nav cds on to a sd card, then u can remove the nav cd and can use the maps and music cd at the same time.

Can I get that map update on my 2.1 system?

Also where does the nav cd live?

I know the 2.0 maps are on cd only, but you can copy to SD. Not sure about the 2.1 and 2.2, but i think the 2.2 is only SD anyway so theres no need to worry. I got hold of a V4 Nav cd cheep on ebay. im sure you can download for the SD card. Others who have the 2.1 should beable to help you mate.
