Come on don't hold back, say what you think.

They are not supposed to be offroad vehicle, they are a crossover. Have the benefits of car performance with high driving position 4wd for LIGHT (dirt tracks muddy fields etc) offroad capability.

Interior wise they are typical Range Rover and will knock the socks off all similar priced Audi cars, never mind our Seats

I think they look good and the 240 bhp petrol will shock alot of hot hatches, as it did me. I was following one the other day and couldn't believe how quick it was joining the motorway from the slip road, seriously quick for the size.

OMG! A VX220 ! With that sort of money, based on a blistering, weekend fun car, why not go for something like a Caterham or similar? Not one built by some grease monkey over a couple of years, in his garage, but professionally built out of Caterhams own factory. Or even a 3.2 L V6 Pilgrim Cobra?

Sorry but I wouldnt even drop £5K on a Vauxhall, let alone all that money for a "lego car lookalike" VX220 (even IF its chassis or running gear are taken straight out a Lotus Elise)... Why not an Elise? These come in various custom configurations/specs too.

At least retain a bit of "street cred".

To be honest it's just a plan for the moment and I'd have to convince the wife! lol

I don't think I can fit in the Caterham as am 6'4 (I can fit in the Exige so should be able to get in to the Elise/VX)

I can see my choice of the Evoque is not sitting well with some on this board (betty swollox ) but I am looking forward to some refinement and a decent interior.

I see hundreds of them every day and i must say you've made a great choice, lovely cars. Much nicer than any SEAT.

Oh aye, it'll defo be nicer inside and a more comfortable ride than the Leon, but I wouldn't buy a car just for its interior, otherwise I would have ran a mile from the FR and Cupra, because the interior (apart from steering wheel) is gash lol

Seat are a budget VW without a doubt, that's why I have one. I wouldn't say poor mans though. I wanted a golf R, but my accountant at work saw the quote and said no chance. The cupra R was a little over half the price of a golf R ( business lease) and slightly better spec. I love my car but would I rather be in a Golf R? The snob in me says yes.

woah woah, its not my opinion that they're a poor mans VW. a VW to me is an overpriced lump of poo.

I love the Golf R, but i think the GTI and the ED30 look boring. The alloys on the ED30 are nice, but it just looks like a normal golf.


I'd rather have a leon anyday (apart from a Golf R as I think they look beasty as fook)

Honest I looked at the Golf R and it just did not inspire me at all, same with the Cupra R.

The RS3 is just over priced for what it is and with having kids the TTRS was just not an option for me.

I'll post a pic of my Evoque (just for you Betty! ) do you can judge for your self.
