Hi all,

I've just ordered my new Leon SC!
Having had a 1.8TSI as a demonstrator, I was a little worried that the 1.4 that I would be buying would be a disappointment in comparison. But the dealer was able to borrow a 1.4 and it was great to drive!

So, I should be picking up my Leon SC 1.4TSI FR in Apollo Blue, with Tech Pack, Alcantara interior and convenience pack in October. Although I love the look of the 18" wheels, I found the ride too hard to live with, so am sticking with the standard 17"s.

Roll on October!

Great to hear. I was limited to the 1.2 or 1.8 as I need a DSG. The power the 1.8 has is great. Coming from a TDI I was hesitant but the rev range the power and torque is available over made for a very enjoyable drive.

I went for tech, black, convenience and 18s (the ride felt better than my current mk2 on 18s thats for sure).

I ordered on July 27th and heard last week I am build week 38 (seems quite a delay between order and build but hey ho!) And they claim delivery by the end of sept (week 40). Unless they magically bump my build week forward I can't see that happening.. !

I'll be interested to see the power and torque graphs for the 1.4 and 1.8 as I'm sure the torque in particular will be pretty much peak across the range due to it being artificially limited to 250Nm

Blimey - it'd better come with solid gold paint for that kind of lead-time!

Haha. Well it's a company car and I'm not due to change til the 7th of March. We got the Leon ordered while we were being offered a good price though.

How did you find out your build week date?
I ordered a SC FR 2.0 on July 7 and was told it may be delivered around mid October.

I spoke with the Sales Manager at the Dealership I ordered last week (with regards to taking an ex-demo car to enable me to change cars quicker) and that's when she told me it was down for Build Week 38 (annoyingly I ordered the very end of Week 30, they'll put that down to the factory closure I suppose...Sales figures for September more like!)

However when I ordered, the salesman said he would contact me with a build date 2 weeks later (tomorrow) but only because he was away the last two so I guess they know pretty quickly.

Thank you for the answer, I will have to call my dealer.

I ordered mine in May and it should have been here by end of August - September but because my company car doesn't expire until end of October I have to wait until then. Had an email from the dealer saying the car will be delivered to them mid October.

Mines pretty simple just a SE with convenience pack and media system plus so probably would have been a quick lead time.
