The Old man's Leon 1.4 TSI ACT FR

Hi all,

I'm enquiring in regards to my dad's leon 1.4 TSI ACT FR.

I'm having trouble sourcing an actuator for him- the main dealer labour costs were extortionate.

Can anyone recommend a vendor to source the part and can you confirm if it's an electronic/normal actuator which would apply?

The ACT engines seem great little things, in terms of sourcing parts for these cars are they any different from the 1.4 TSI (irrespective of it they have the ACT functionality?).

Thanks in advance for all your help all.

Are you sure the actuator has failed and it's not just a stuck linkage?

Good question. I'll have a check over the weekend.

Hi, which actuator is it?
Hi Rooster- I've contacted this supplier (http://www.seatdirectparts.co.uk/- it's not allowing me to share the url) and the SKU is 'Leon1.4TSITurboActuator'.

I've been advised the 1.4TSI actuators are all the same.

Cheers for commenting on this one gents, I appreciate the help.

Ah, ok, didn’t know if you meant ACT actuator or Turbo, looks like you’ve got a source though, hope you get sorted. Was it seized or rattly?

The actuator linkage can stick. Not expensive to fix, provided you don't take it to a dealer!
