Don't know how many of you will ever have come across these, they've been around for many years under a different name (Kanebo). A few friends of mine have had them or rather their parents have had them and given them to my mates and I've never found another chamois as good at drying a car! They've been known to last 15 or more years which is considerably longer than any of the big brand ones I've had had over the years ie. Meguiars etc but found some of them to smear and leave dirty marks. Anyway I finally got round to hunting for them onlline and found them, now called Aion Plas and cheaper than the likes of Meguiars etc too.

I give you :D

You can buy them on ebay too, highly recommended! Check em out

It never left any marks on my Nighthawk Black civic, a colour that is particularly easy to mark. I've used those towels before too, even though it says you will never have to wring it out I always had to.

Just sharing a bit of personal experience as I've used just about all the other "latest fad" products used by all the 'big detailers' because its a big name brand and haven't necessarily always been impressed.

This is one that seems to have flown under the radar for years and I found it considerably better than a leather chamois

I am not knocking the product. I am just saying I cant see how it will prevent swirling or RDS in a chamois/towel that barely has any depth so it can trap dirt/remove it safely.

There is a reason almost all professionals use these thick plush drying towels and from my experience these towels work best. There is no way you will need to ring out one of these!

have to say i used a bog standard chamois in the past so can't comment on the specific product, but moving to a proper towel i'd never go back now

Even towels trap dirt and grit. Dunno I found this product and thought it was worth a shout as it's much better than the traditional leather chamois I've been using for years. Don't knock it til you've tried it :)

I dont think anyone is specifically knocking it, just commenting on their preference.

I personally wouldnt use a chamois and the product you linked to because i currently use a DoDo Juice Super Natural drying towel and find it better than anything else i have used before it. That doesnt mean it is the best on the market, just the best i have used to date.

Trapping dirt into the towel is the key though, moving it into the pile and away from the paint surface. products that have no pile are more likely to push debris across the paint which is what you are trying to avoid.

I had a dog and his name was BINGO!

:)

Be interested in your thoughts... cant fault the SN towel but as you'll understand am always looking for something that offers that little extra.
Well the Polar Express towel has literally blown me away Nige. Its huge, and the pile on it is decent enough. Probably not as thick as the ultra plush ones but as its nearly double the size you cover much more area.

Used it on the Mrs car and my own - perfect. Think I will use it on other peoples too now :)

Worth every penny!

Might have to have a look at one of these then... thanks for the feedback buddy

Upto now I've always used the yellow Megs micro-fiber towels.

They are very soft to touch and have a nice thick texture to them, so seem to do a great job of picking up the water and any grit left over, without scratching it over the paint surface.

Through habit, I dont wash my towels afterwards. I use them 2 or 3 times max, after washing the car, and prefer to then throw them away, and buy new ones! Then use the old ones for the wheels! :D They are not that expensive either.

Looks quite similar to the Polar Express although I think the pile might be slightly thicker on the polar express. I might be wrong though.

If they made that towel will same pile thickness as the ultra plush ones then it will be perfection imo.

I have one of these as well. Its great, used the meguiars towels before and this is far better. can dry an entire car without having to ring it out.

best £8 i have spent, would highly recomend getting one. :)
