The Ridiculous Fading Panel Lights

Haven't seen any answers, mate, so assume it's still an issue. Seems utterly crazy to have your lights on "Auto", so they go on and off according to ambient light levels, but the dash lights are on a different sensor, and dim to remind you to put your lights on....... when they're already set to Auto! I'd have thought it was an easy update to software, and flash on next service, but.......

I've managed to disable this with OBDeleven. I don't have autolights. Now when I have my sidelights on I also have dashlights on and not dimming and Brighting as they please!

An old thread but is there any update on this? The dimming of the instrument panel is driving me nuts!
