Looks great mate!

Just a heads up for future reference, eBay do the Mintex front caliper retainer clip (s3 version) eBay number 351628083773 much cheaper than getting them from Audi/Seat etc. A lick of paint
Then a set of Cupra decals to finish them off

Yeah, Stage 2+ is definately worth it. Although I'm currently miffed cause my Helix clutch has died after 15k miles. Had it just over 18 months. Slipping badly in all gears.
Ive just emailed AKS tuning as im booked in to have a Helix clutch fitted end of September but not if they fail after 15k miles or less lol.

Hi Ben everything is good my end I fitted my brembo 6pots this weekend and Audi TT mk2 front hubs. The cars coming along nicely. The Brakes are great but looking back at it for the amount of work it was I’d rather keep my stock breaks as they are more then enough for mine. Everything ok with you?

That’s great news I’m happy for you mate. Will definitely be able to treat your Leon in no time at all. brakes wise depends if your gonna go on track days I’d say ebc all day long. But on a road car brembo pads and discs will be good. They are really dusty tho but on a weekend car not really a problem as you’ll probably wash it every other weekend.

Love what you've done with the car mate, it's always good to see somebody taking care of the maintenance as well as the modifications!

Is that a centre exit / K1 exhaust? If so what diffuser do you have fitted?

Thankyou mate I really appreciate it. Yes it’s a miltek race exhaust for a K1 the rear diffuser is from a company called fibre worx
You should check out there website as they have a lot of parts they have made for the mk2. Very good customer service and excellent work man ship.

Quick little update I have now fitted a 18z 6pot brembo setup using Audi TT mk2 alloy hubs and done a geometry. The car handled well before but really handles well now turn in to so much faster and responsive compared to before. The Audi TT mk2 run a different geometry then the Leon the 2 hubs side by side are different the ball joints are in a different place and they are abit wider.
And I’ve fitted a cheap TRC front splitter to replace the one that flew away lol rest in pieces.

Brilliant, thanks mate. I was about to buy a BCS R exhaust and maxton diffuser but didn't realise there was that option as well. Got some thinking to do now!

Love the wheels!

Hi just a little update on the underdog 1P
Not much going at mo I fitted the 18z front calipers using Audi TTRS mk2 front hubs and braided lines I brought from a very kind member on here. the geometry is slightly different as both tt and cupra hubs have a different ball joint and angle but oh boy has it made some different the turn in is so responsive now and precise.
I brought some genuine k1 side skirts to hide a dent I have in the sill that drives me mad.
And fitted a cheap trc front splitter to replace my carbon fibre one that decided it wanted to commit suicide at 155mph on a run way.

I’ve replaced both front seats with low mileage seats from a member too as mine had a tiny rip and used to drive me mad getting in the car.
Also I asked compomotive if they would make me 5x112 8j th2 as they are my dream wheel as I have them on my sapphire cosworth too as I need a different offset to house the 18z properly.
I’m just gonna save up for the clutch and fueling parts for my stage2+ goal. As I’ve done all the cheaper bits now all there is to do is the big money items.

Small update I brought a coolerworx pro shifter. I’ve been dreaming about having a Proper race style shifter for awhile and ordered this from WG motorsport. I literally can not wait to get this they said around 3/4 weeks lead time but I have a feeling it’ll turn into more due to the import restrictions in place and generally just being Sod’s law it’ll get held you. This is one job I’m not looking forward to doing as it’s a exhaust off tunnel heat shield off and trimming slightly of tunnel kinda job. I’ll get some brand new clips so I can refit the heat shield back properly.

if anyone has one I’d love to get your feed back on what’s it’s like on track etc and if you like it or not.

also I’m toying around with the idea of using heat tape from funk motorsport in the tunnel.

My shifter turned up this morning 3 weeks early which im over the moon about.
I would like to thank WG motor parts for this there team and customer related skills are awesome it’s nice to actually deal with someone who sell something and actually deliver what they say and kept me updated.
I literally screamed when I opened this it has been on my dream parts list for the Leon.
Just need to find time to fit it now am hoping Saturday I’ll have time.

That's a long shaft! Loving the progress, I do miss my MK2 it just had that character that seems to of been lost.

I assume it's a straight swap for the new part without chopping everything up lol

My hand makes it look bigger… story of my life… yea I’m hoping it’ll be straight forward. It’s a exhaust off tunnel heat shield off job.
I can’t get onto the ramp till sat tho so have to wait to fit it. 😩 I don’t fancy doing it on the floor but I’ll probably get impatient after work tomorrow and try it anyway.
I know what you mean about character that’s why I call mine the under dog to me it’ll never be a show car but i drive it and intend to use it for a purpose which is a competitive track car. Just need to save up and get the stage2+ parts. If I had a pound for everytime I said that I’d be stage2+ already. Lol
