The washer jet upgrade part2!

I could be wrong but I think it's the water bottle that's heated.....?

na i think the jets are heated, as its like much more for the heated fan jets!

well i purchased ONE jet today lol (only one in stock)

this jet is made for a late mk4 golf (2004 ish) and is non heated version and cost about £2.50.

Ive had a quick fiddle with it this eve and it doesnt look very good, but you will have to let me investigate more tomorrow in daylight.

The connector (the little pipe that goen into the rubber pipe that feeds the water) is diagonal on the standard leon jets, and the new golf fan ones are straight back. so at first thought they WONT fit.

However on the polo and the mk5 golfs ive seen that they fit very differently, so its possible if a dealer will let me see the on screen diagram i can figure at east one models fan jets that would fit!!!!!

Had a look but connections are buried somewhere so didnt get the screwdriver out. If there is an easy way, let me know and I'll look again!

All I can say is that the jet block looks the same size and the 'fan' jet is much better - much much better

my girlfriends Arosa S 2002 has the fan jet washer, front and back, been trying to pursuade her to swap with me for some time, but she wont! lol

Hope it helps, might mean they are easier to get hold of now, with them not been from VW, and maybe an easier fit with them been from a SEAT? dont know. lol

I've still got my old Passat, which has Fan washers...i'll have a look at it on Monday (on shift all wkend), and see how much work is involved, and report back.

If it looks fairly easy I'll get some pic's & part #'s for everyone.
