Thick oil on the throttle body

I have thick brown oil on the throttle body.
The throttle was supposedly cleaedn after I had RPM drops and spikes either with the a/c on or off.
After cleaning a calibration the RPM drops only when the A/C is on and moments ago I took a look and found that nasty oil which I wonder where it came from. The garage claims that changing the throttle will fix the problem, but they didn't tell me about the oil on the throttle

Does anybody know where it comes from?

i get the same had it with both 1.4's tbh the breather pipe is connected to the air box so a small amount of oil would be there i guess

All modern day Cars engine oil breathers have to go into a contained place be it the airbox or another system on the car. its just the regulations when a car is going through the design and manufacture process. So unfortunatly us lot have to put up with problems with oil builed up in throttle bodies/Airbox's all the time.
My Corrado VR6 had an issue with this in the throttle body which always used to disrupt the TPS! theres means and ways around it, Like buying a small filter from K&N and the like as a replacement breather setup.

Do you guys think the problem lies with the throttle?
When the A/C is off the RPM is normal and I can drive the car just fine.
When the A/C is on, the RPM drops to 500 and less and the engine shuts off after a few seconds.

My mechanic says it's the throttle for sure.

I would clean the the throttle body again and see what different that makes, its an easy job just shoot carb cleaner through.

The revs should drop when the A/C is started but then the engine should adapt and raise them again after a few seconds.

Is your car a 2.0 16v?

is the oil still "wet" or dry?
