So I have just been offered a trade for the HDi. I have listed it at £1800 and had a few offers of £1700 but I'm highly interested in this swap -

Guy wants £1200 + The Pug for his 2001 Seat Leon Cupra.

Here is the epic spec.

2001 20v turbo
68000 miles
11 m.o.t
5 tax
FSH
All belts been done including tensioners and water pump
Brand new coil packs
new disks and pads all round
6 speed box
Traction control
Full bose sound system as standard
18 inch audi rs4 wheels
Hi flo cat
Full custom Stainless exhaust
Immaculate body work nothing ever been botched up
Stage 2 remap
230 bhp
Aluminium Cupra R DV

The only pictures I have received is these ones (He isn't good with comps and cant work out how to attach more than one pic lol), I reckon all it would need is coilovers and maybe colour coding and I'm laughing. My mate that lives near him is gonna go test drive and get more pictures for me tomorrow :D

Looks mint condition and well looked after, and can't complain at the FSH!

What you guys think?

defoo in good nick there mate looks like a nor brainer especially with the fsh, make sure everything works down to windows etc cos you dont want to be spending money on it after you bought it. i think he is running a size small in profile so you might want to put the profile of the tyre +5 to fill in the arches a bit more and to save your wheels from pot holes.

Yeah I was thinking that about the wheels aswell, get some nicer profiles and coilovers on there and I'm laughing :D

My mate is a mechanic and is off to look at it today for me so he will do all the necessary checks then let me know what the crack is. Hopefully if all goes well I will have it this week [B)]

Will be checking all the info asap. The FSH is awesome for the price too :D

And 230bhp won't be slow, will be able to surprise alot of people with that I reckon......

Get it if it's as good as it appears..

Looks good and 230bhp will feel pleasant aslong as it is indeed that.

Going ahead with the swap after my mate told it was perfectly fine, everything checked out and its rapid :D

Had a blowout on the way home from work today so he has taken £100 of the price too, so I can get a new tyre :)

Some crappy quality phone pics

Interior needs a clean, and wheels could do with a refurb.......other than that pretty mint.

Off to get it on Monday [B)]

I'd check the fish to mate mine said it had one but then oil pick up got blocked about 2 months after :( when I wiped the sump off it was clear it hadn't been service when the book said so he had just reset the service guid with vagcom and got someone to stam the book

My mate has seen a reciept for £240 for a service, with full stamps and all stamps are from Seat themselves. You can never tell with these things but he seems legit and the receipts all match up.....

Can't wait till Monday now

its so easy to forge a service history. im so glad mine came with stacks of receipts.
looks very clean mate

Enjoy! Good of him to knock £100 off for a tyre. Seems a decent enough person to deal with.

You going to keep those bumpers and leave it stealthy or get the Cupra bumpers on there eventually?

Any other plans? :)

Yeah, I have mates at the tyre place so I will prob get a decent one for around £70-80 - Another £20 for fuel :p

I will be colour coding the bumpers and getting a cupra r splitter. I want to get facelift bumpers but I am not going to rush in and buy new, I will wait till some appear at the Overton scrap yard in Aberdeen (Love that place, already enquired about a cupra r interior) and/or the sale forums :)

I have a little list of mods I will be doing, hopefully it will turn out as well as my 306 did.

When I bought it

A year later - OEM+ with lots of little mods here and there
