I'm thinking about getting a remap done and I'm just wondering if anyone could offer any insights? The car is a 2014 / 15 6J 1.4 FR ACT which stock has around 140 / 50 hp. Mapped with the panel filter I think it might be around 190 hp - pushing into cupra territory. I heard it's like going from a mild hatch to a full on hot hatch.

I would look to go to Streetwise Automotive Bristol, I would get Revo Stage 1 along with Revo the air filter that fits in the standard air box. I am currently using 97 ron Sainsbury's fuel but would switch over to 99 Tesco and perhaps 4 times a year run a tank of Esso V power for its cleaning additives.

I have had the car since November, it's had a new clutch (master and slave), serviced, MOT'd, new water pump and drive belt, 2x Bridgestone front tyres and is booked in for timing belt change in a couple of weeks. I think mechanically I'm fairly well covered here.

Just wondering if anyone has used Streetwise before? Or Revo? Alternatives? I believe the garage runs a health check before doing any work. Any overall insights and advice would be greatly welcomed! Thank you!

Edit;

Just to add what I am hoping to achieve is to add a bit more power / torque with better acceleration while keeping stock looks, no pops or bangs! I'd rather not go the full on induction kit route just to make it easier to pass on to sell in the future. Can be flashed back to stock and stick the paper filter back in.

I'm not looking to go nuts I'm nearly 40 now and kind of feel perhaps at this age my insurance won't decide to massacre me for modifying a car! All would be declared to insurance to keep it legit etc.
