Tiguan alloys on the Terramar - do they look good?

For my coming soon Terramar, I wanted to replace the 19" alloys with 20" ones.

Genuine Cupra 20" alloys are incredibly hard to find - but I found that Tiguan alloys, which are much more readily available are a bolt on replacement. I've always liked the look of the Suzuka alloys, and the dark grey paint would match the timanfaya grey paint. Tyres are also the same size as the Terramar 20" as standard.

Using the help of AI, I mocked up some images, what do we think?

Side note - I am worried about the ride quality of 20" wheels without DCC - but can always just swap back out to the 19's if I find it unbearable. Curious to hear if anyone has 20" alloys on the Terramar without DCC and their experience.

They look good if you like diamond cut alloys (I’m personally not a fan, even though the alloys on my car are diamond cut! ).

Is the specific set of alloys you’re considering a new or used set? If used, then find out from the seller if they’ve ever been refurbished. Diamond cut alloys often succumb to white worm corrosion on the diamond cut face and the refurb process to remove the white worm involves re-cutting the face of the alloy on a CNC lathe, removing a layer of alloy in the process. More than two refurbs and too much metal may be removed, potentially affecting the structural integrity of the wheels, which could make them unsafe.

Also, if you’re in the UK, be sure to inform your insurance company if you do go ahead and change your alloys as doing so is a modification for insurance purposes.
