"Hi All"

As my Leon Cupra is now 3 years old and out of warranty, I think its time to start modding. ;)

Just wanted to know from every one what simple mods I should start with to boost performance and even looks to try and personalise it as it is still standard 03 Leon Cupra.

Any ideas and brands to use would be helpful... and first modds I should be looking at like induction kit, dump valve, window tints, ECT?

Thanks

the remap makes a huge difference for your money... but equally uprating the suspension and bigger/wider wheels produced a big grin factor.:D

if you havnt already id change the factory dv if your planning on putting more power through the car. a boost gauge is very useful too.

pabs and robdons sites are great for ideas / inspiration and the guides are very useful.
say goodbye to your wallet tho...

HA i like how he had £600 to spend,
Did he have another £600 on top of his insurance?

Need to find out how much the mods will increase my insurance?
Also not sure if they will cover me if i was to get it remapped?

Any one else with Direct line LOL

Short shifter (stealth one, like the EIP OEM) and dogbone mounts are pretty much invisible to your insurance (unless you roll it!!!). Even if you declared them they would ask what the performance increase is... errrr, not a lot.

remapp, exuast ,filter then dump valve then suspension upper lower struts and dog bone mount

Thats really good. Did you have to call Tescos to sort it out? (i.e. you miss out on the 10% online discount)

i was with flux- quoted 1000 bet then tesco beat them this year 800. In 22 with 4 years protected no claims got tinted windows, lowered 50mm, rear spoiler, angel eyes with brows, lexus rear clusters, short shifter, dump valve, 4 gauges, powder coated alloys which i added today at no extra cost and a 1000pounds worth of audio on my insurance excess off 750!

I'm getting a remap in three weeks and am also insured with Direct Line. They have asked for an extra £180 for the privilege, which I didn't think was all that bad.

Badger 5 are in Stonehouse in Glous Bill will do a remap and he may know a decent Garage or three for any other spanner work he can't undertake himself.

Forge in Gloucester could do the remap, DV and they do a Kona intake system which looked good (very similar to Carbonio)
