I BOUGHT A lcr210 IN nOV 2009

IT DID NOT HAVE ANY HISTORY AS IT WAS ON A CAT D.

I CHECKED VIA VOSA AND MILEAGE IS CORRECT AND WARRANTED AT 70K

WAS WORRIED THAT ENGINE MIGHT BE ABUSED BUT WAS ASTONISHED WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL GARAGE

THEY CLAIMED IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST STANDARD ENGINES THEY HAD SEEN

I THEN GOT IT DYNO'D AND IT CAME UP AT 216BHP STANDARD

IT NOW HAS 73K ON THE CLOCK AND MY MECHANIC SAYS THE TIMING BELT IS OK

SHOULD I CHANGE IT OR NOT, BASED ON NOT HAVING ANY HISTORY

ALSO IF I DO, SHOULD I CHANGE THE WATER PUMP AND STAT TOO

OR AM I JUST WASTING MONEY????

yes change it if you have no history. better safe than sorry. water pump is a must as its a weak point on these engines. may aswel do stat with coolant out for how much it costs, i did anyway. £300 ish on cambelt service is better than ££££'s when it snaps imo.

Just round the corner.
I've got to get mine done on my 210. Bought it last week, lots of reciepts apart from cambelt.
I always have the belt/tensioners/pulleys, and waterpump changed every 4 years or 40k which ever comes 1st. On the waterpump, make sure that it replaced with the pump with metal impellors ar they are stronger than plastic type.
