My gallery is FUBAR!

I'll fix it tonight, i bought the 206 as it is.

It's actually a standard colour, carbon bonnet, the engine was it's fancy piece.

2.1L Quad Throttle Bodied 206 GTi engine sounded amazing!

haha you not gonna believe this, the reason I thought it was a expansive paint job, is due to the shadow of the tree falling onto the paint. Clearly see it now, but at a glance I thought it was a darker red, like rips or a tribal type thing... :hide:

Engine sounds fun tho ;)

The easiets way to do this is window tint, its like the old tights over the rear lights trick.

Looks good and ive see yellow ones!

i think this may be legal depending on how much you tint it.

You can get plates that have a kind of ghost or watermark effect in the back ground that are legal.
Rather than having this watermark as a symbol, if you just had it as a plain background it would appear like a tinted plate.

So should be ok if you dont go mad!?

The lad who owned it was from northampton yes, he put all the hard work and big money into it.

It was in a few magazines, i bought it because i'd always liked the car and was in a situation where i could afford it. However i got cold feet after about 3 months of owning it worrying about just how much money i'd loose on it if i kept it much longer.

The time that i had the car i didn't have any trouble from the police at all with the plates, not sure of there legality, tbh they just look mucky if your not sure what your looking at.

The one thing i do miss on that car is the paint and how bright it used to shine in the sun, was fantastic.

Ahh well onwards and upwards so they say :)

Tim, didn't know you owned Tom's old 206! Who did you sell it to?

My mate bought his mate's Bic's old 106 Gti TB'd engine to put in his 106 Rallye, so met Tom a few times.

And yeh, you can get tinted plates from most grafix companies.
