haha you not gonna believe this, the reason I thought it was a expansive paint job, is due to the shadow of the tree falling onto the paint. Clearly see it now, but at a glance I thought it was a darker red, like rips or a tribal type thing...
i think this may be legal depending on how much you tint it.
You can get plates that have a kind of ghost or watermark effect in the back ground that are legal.
Rather than having this watermark as a symbol, if you just had it as a plain background it would appear like a tinted plate.
The lad who owned it was from northampton yes, he put all the hard work and big money into it.
It was in a few magazines, i bought it because i'd always liked the car and was in a situation where i could afford it. However i got cold feet after about 3 months of owning it worrying about just how much money i'd loose on it if i kept it much longer.
The time that i had the car i didn't have any trouble from the police at all with the plates, not sure of there legality, tbh they just look mucky if your not sure what your looking at.
The one thing i do miss on that car is the paint and how bright it used to shine in the sun, was fantastic.
