well my first years insurance with my mum as named driver and me on fully comp was 790, how much difference do you think it would make adding alloys? it needs renewing in august..any point of doing it now?

You really need to do it as soon as you fit them mate tbh even fitting a K&n pannel air filter you should still tell them.

Not sure about an air filter, unless it is an induction kit, as I don't think there is much improvement in performance and I doubt they are going to be opening up your airbox to take a look.
You don't tell them if you change tyre brand etc ;)
Then again I guess it is better to be safe than sorry.

I told my company that I was running mk3 cupra alloys and normally, and porsche teledials on odd occasions and they gave me £37 back.
Winner!!

Madness
Although I think that the ronals on a mk2 cost more than mk3 cupra wheels brand new from seat (although I could be wrong)

Ollie

Think its because the Mk'2 are made by ronal (expensive well known wheel brand), where as the mk3's just say 'made in spain' so can't see them being made by anyone apart from Pedro and his donkey

Ollie

lol true, the starfish wheels do still look good even if they were made by "Pedro and his Donkey"
do insurance companies ask the make and whatever other info on the wheels?

Well the ronals are standard on my car so they didn't ask about those
And as for the teledials I just said they were porsche 944 wheels (covers either set up of them I can run) and they wanted the diameter.
