what u reckong to subtle tints on a red lcr? and would you have them all the way round or just the rears? i thought they would look odd just on the rears though!

I've got mine done all round and I'd highly recommend it! You'll love it!

I've got the rear window and the rear sides quite dark, but not so dark that you can't see in and then my front sides are just a gentle tint but because of the rears being so dark it gives the whole car a wicked look! [B)]

Go for it...you wont regret it!

What do you guys think of tints on my Bronze Cupra T? I'm so tempted, think it will look wicked, but how dark can you legally go?

i got mines done, it fades from dark at the back to legal on the front.

Rear window 20%, back door windows 35% and front windows 70%.

looks really good, better than black at the back and nothing at the front. looks like a van.

I'm not like you guys...
I want to do mine, but as said, dont want to have tinted front windows, well i do, but because of the area I live, I'd get stopped every time i went out in the car. big wheels and tints = pull me over....

So i like the idea of the gradual tint, as i dont want a van... I'l be talking to tintwizard when i get round to being able to get them done, as Ive heard nothing but good things.

EDIT:

give me a price mate, I am prepared to travel, if the price is right, and you have examples of other cars youve done :)

I've done a couple of my own cars in the past using pre-cut film specific to the car from an ebay company :) Turns out very good in the end, all it takes is patience, soapy water spray bottle, a smoother and a very clean working environment.

I've got some ready to fit off fleabay, been watching loadsa videos on You Tube, excellent info & tips that ive digested, looking fwd to it &....if it does go T*TS up it only cost me £12 so no worries [B)]

Do it youll love it. Mine is the darkest legal, looks nice during daylight but at night you cant see through it at all which is great for putting off the thieving scum out there. It will also put them off seeing that it has tints as the glass doesnt smash so easily (fingers crossed). With the % just ask the fitters they will know how dark they are allowed to go.

I'm not like you guys...
The rear's you can go as dark as you want.
Front's is technically no tint allowed, as the glass is already at its maximum tint.
I think you can get away with like 70-75% (the amount of light that passes through the glass)

I got told by an auto-tinter a while ago. They will do whatever you want, but they wont accept any liablity if you get caught.

I'm looking to get my new ibiza mk5 tinted. I've been living up in Birmingham most of the year but just moved back down to southwest Wales which is really annoying having seen your post 'MPWindow Tinting' lol I think i have found somewhere where i can get precuts so i may take the plunge and go for it. Just hope it comes out fine...
