Hi all, after 3years in an over priced merc, I’m getting another Fr 184bhp diesel in white 2016. Ready to dust off my old odbeleven (just need to find an android device to load the app on). Booked in on Friday to have CarPlay activated.

hello. all the best with the new one... why don't you use obd11 with iOS or is it the white dongle? you don't want to activate Apple Car Play yourself?

I have the white one. I ain’t got time to mess about sorting CarPlay myself. Start a new job on Monday.

I’ve just wrapped the bits either side of the reg plate with black vinyl. Looks better now.

Full link activated, only android auto works. Looks like I now need the newer usb socket too. So much for saving money.

yes that's right, Apple Car Play requires a minimum hardware for the USB socket. the new socket needs a new cable too
