Top Gear Review of Leon TFSI FR

There's a short review of the petrol version of the new Leon FR on the Top Gear website. They seem to get the idea of the car a bit more than some other reviewers and give it a very favourable report:

But will they ever review the FR or Cupra on their TV show? They always seem to "forget" about the sporty Seats when reviewing hot hatches... Clarkson was wetting himself over the Golf GTi so wonder what he will think about the Cupra?

The trouble with Top Gear is that there are four different versions of it. There is the TV programme, the magazine, the BBC website and the Top Gear website. They each have different staff and reviewers and each have their own views.

Of these I would think the most influential is the TV version and this seems pretty much to reflect Jeremy's opinion. He doesn't like the looks of the new Leon so I can't see it getting a good review on Top Gear if it gets one at all. James May doesn't like hard riding cars, so I don't think he would approve and I don't know what the Hamster would make of it, assuming he was allowed to express an opinion at all.

The team can make a break cars, if Jezza dosen't like the cars looks its best not to be reviewed. Stupid but true.

They'll just complain that "the market has moved on" and "Seat are playing catch-up" or some other b0llocks. And completely ignore the fact that the Cupra is faster, better looking, and more importantly cheaper than the Golf, upon which it is based...

Clarkson doesn't like Seat's. About the Mk1 Cupra R he said "Having the fastest car out of Spain is like having the best chocolate to come out of Egypt"... As Seat are NEVER mentioned on TG I doubt it will be... Shame. I reckon Hamster might like it though..

I read his review of the Cupra R and he spent half of it complaining about the spanish fishing industry hurting the british fishing industry. What relvance that has to the car i have no idea. He also managed to crash it when leaving his house which upset him apparantly. Must have bent his electric gates.

Clarkson also said about the Leon that you dont want one because you cant afford a VW Golf but because you dont want to.

i think what you mean to say is: you want a leon, even though you can afford a golf but you don't want a golf..
