I must say Torred...that looks absolutely ace! Congrats on a great purchase. I've been scouring ebay for suitable wheels for myself but to no avail so far!

I'm about-40mm lowered on 17's and the roads are a joke! to the extent I'm seriously considering putting my 16's back on with a higher profile.
PITA having to look at the road to dodge the pot holes.
Also your sump may be effected, mine does get clouted regularly, thankfully i have a steel sump gaurd.

Well, it doesnt look bad not being lowered, i must admit the thought of having to worry about the road that much more being lowered puts me off..

I'd go a -40mm drop on yours tbh does sit higher than mine i think.Depends what you want though.

Just took some pics of mine on 17's 40 mm drop so you can compare

I think 60mm would be too much, I wouldnt want it to sit any lower than yours, I was even thinking of only 30mm, just enough to make it look lower but not be a road scraper...

Looking good there mate! I do like the starfishes a lot, remind me of various alloys used by Ferrari, especially the Enzo :D

As for your ride height...

Sound advice. A 40mm drop from standard 1.4S should give you a perfect balance between ride height and practicality - wouldn't go as low as 60mm though. I put a set of -40mm Eibach springs on the mk2 Golf a couple of years back and they really did transform the handling. If you're interested in the Eibachs give Richard at Venom Motorsport (Ribchester) a call, he's usually able to come up with a decent deal.

One other thing, have a look and see if your Leon has a drive-by-wire throttle. If it does then yours will need resetting after you changed the steering wheel. Ask Lee69 about it, sure he'll point you in the right direction ;)

Cheers, DubSteve :)

Thanks Steve, I will look into the 40mm Eibach's. Why do I need my drive by wire throttle resetting and how do I know if I have one?

4omm Eibach would be the job. wheels look sweet too . . cupra splitter up fromt would add a nice bit of weight to the front too and make it look even lower
