Tow Bar on a Cupra

Hope you guys might be able to help me.

I ordered a new Cupra in December and the guy that sold it to me said that they can fit a Tow bar for me.
I phoned up Seat last week for an update on when my cars gonna be ready and they told me its gonna be 4 weeks later than i was originally told. Really not happy about that.
Then on Saturday they phone up and tell me that the tow bar Ive ordered cant be fitted to my car.
Does anyone on here have a Tow bar fitted to a Mk2 Cupra non K1 obviously lol.

I have seen one with the tow bar,and it doesn't look good.
Can't post pics right now.

Ive got one on my Audi A4 and when its not in use you cant see it. The actual tow bar comes off.
I need a towbar as I do alot of cycling/mtb'ing and have a rack.

i think you should give up the cycling to be honest

if it is detatchable then i dont see a problem unless it fouls the centre part of the cupra bumper due to the fact it is lower that the other models. Im sure i have seen tow bar on a cupra/fr before

Well not to worry now. Seat fu*ked me around on the delivery date and sold me a car they can't put a tow bar on.
So I've cancelled my order.
There will be a nice red Fully loaded Cupra for sale in Stockport early April.

Hi there,

You can fit a tow bar to it...Brink make a detachable version, with a cover to hide the hole made in the bumper.

Don't know why they told you that! They could have just got a local towbar specialist in to sort it for you!

This is great news! One less Cupra on our potholed roads sporting a tow bar. (joke).

.....seriously though, sorry to hear about your bad experiences with your Order.
There was another recent Thread here where SEAT made a mess of a customers order and tried to cover up their own mistakes! This is never good to hear!
