T1R's are remarkably cheap. R1R's are remarkably expensive. T1R's are very average, R1R's are a very good tyre, really grippy with excellent turn in. I've not tried the R888's but heard they are excellent in the dry and wet but poor in standing water . . . .summer use tyre

I Have T1R's on mine and i dont have a problem with them... they give me plenty of grip when needed.

Although they dont like large puddles as i found out the other day :(

I had T1R's on a 1.8t cupra mk1 and they were suitable but not fantastic. On a mapped Mk2 Cupra they would have been quite scary.

Its all relative i suppose and depends on what car they are going on and how you drive. If your looking for a high performance tyre to give plenty of grip there are much better tyres out there. They are not bad for the price though . . ..

I think they are a good tyre for the price you pay for them. And yes it does all depend on what car they are going on and how you drive.

mine are on 2.0tdi Sport, but i aint a slow coach driver and do like to push on down a country road, and as of yet they havent given me any major problems.

Not keen on T1R's on a previous car - very "squidgy" tyre with very poor steering response and turn-in, though decent enough grip mid corner. That was after changing from Michelin pilot sports though...

R888s are awesome, T1-rs used to be the danglies, but in this day and age they are a average tyre
