if the PX4 you refer to is the same as the Proxes 4 (link) on the UK site there is very little difference in the description from the T1-R.
Some have mixed opinions about these tyres in wet weather, and in terms of length of tread life.
Also look at Goodyear GSD-3, and there is a Falken which costs about £70 from Camskill which has had quite good ratings.

both very good tyres, have px4's on mine for the second time now. Good grip in both wet and dry. When they do start to lose grip its predictable loss, rather than gripping then nothing and your off the road into a ditch like you find on budgets. Hope that makes sense. Have had the t1r's to but on different wheels. They felt very similar, thats the only reason I stuck with the px4.
Assuming you run OE tyres (from memory the wifes Ibiza TDI FR used to have 195/45/16's), check these out:

nope been looking on ebay as on there its £120 for 2 for PX4 and £125 for T1R's. ill get them fitted at work for free
Good pX4's on my FR. Grip is good in both wet and dry and a really good looking tread. Be lucky to see 8K out of them though.
