works on the rolling radius. Mine goes off if it drops 4-5psi. Be sure to reset it in the menu when you have the tyres set correctly.
 
Did a search on TPMS and saw this

The TPMS is not aware of actual tyre pressures. It compares the rotational speed of the wheels on each axle using the speed sensors of the ABS braking system as zeffania said.

Using the on screen TPMS You can reset the system to say they are now at the correct pressure.

If you are worried about actual tyre pressures and tyre temps then you can purchase wifi dust caps that will feed back actual pressure on each wheel.

I tried that a while back... but they ended up damaging my valves (and my alloys). Because they were so top heavy, centrifugal force repeatedly smashed them against my wheel. Now I just use a tyre pressure gauge on a Sunday morning.

From experience, and topical considering the hot weather at the moment in the UK, when my car has been parked in the sun all day on one side it is not unusual for the tyre pressure monitor to "warn me to check the tyre pressures" when i have driven off, subsequent checking of the pressures revealed them to have increased slightly on the side exposed to the sun all day, due to expansion of the air inside the tyre. A quick reset will do the trick until...........................the next morning when it needs resetting again when the tyres are cool and equal in pressure. This happens to various makes and not only Seat.

I had a nail in my tyre which led to a very slow puncture, by the time my TPMS came on one wheel was down to 26psi. Is there a way to find out what loss in pressure will trigger the alert?
 
My last car (and wife's present car) are the sensor type which illuminate with a loss of 3-4 psi...even if through natural loss which then made me check them. On my Leon I check them more often now.
