track car dashboard ideas

hi all

i am building a mk4 cupra track car and at the moment the dashboard is out the car

as i am having a full roll cage custom made to msa standards

i am thinking of fitting a light weight heater box and just the top half of the dash back in

has anyone done anything like this ? maybe give me some ideas ?

Hi Dan,
We would be interested in your progress as we'd like to convert ours to a more track focus'd car.
But as Pete has hinted it seems there are very few mk4 ibiza cupra track cars here.
Have we made a mistake! :-(

its been a bust few weeks for me

as you can see thats about all the dash i am fitting no heater box and i have purchased a light weight heater box just enough to clear the screen

what brakes have you got my seat sport ap's are junk

was thinking of a porshe boxster caliper

my cars got a gt3071 on it its got 2 maps boost by gear and a mad full power map 388bhp but i have yet to have it on the rollers i will probably turn it down to 330bhp

What trackdays do you both usually go to?
Mines a track car aswell, still need to get a roll cage though, need to wait till iv got the cash for it but once that's fitted that'll be my car just about finished.
I always thought the standard ap were great never any brake fade, I'm running k sport now because the ap were always a pain changing the brake pads/disks.

Look forward to reading your readers ride. Don't think I'll make one to much typing for me, plus can't remember half the stuff iv done to the car iv had it 7 years. Finally bought some bucket seats so looking for to not having to use my knees and holding onto the steering wheel to keep in my seat.

I'm hoping to head south and do some track days in the next few months might try booking on to the same ones as you Dan.
