U gonna be using for toad or track use? By the looks of that tread pattern or lack of it they are gonna be horrible in the wet! Be good to know what there like on a nice hot day tho

They're rally tyres, and unlikely to be suitable for trackdays (they'll get too hot too quickly)

nobody tested these tires?

Considered these myself so would be interested to hear your feedback on them for track use.

Read some feedback saying quality poor and can need a lot of balancing? Being a remould I do wonder if definitely safe for hard high speed track use?

So far I have tied R888s and AO48s,do you have any experience or opinions on any other track/semi slick type tyres?

rally tarmac, designed to drive on tarmac. I've read some great reviews from some scooby guys saying Medium compound grip even better than R888's.

I know our cars are front everything and so soft would definitely be no dice....

Yes, I also read that on their first batch. Had some problems. But apparently that's long gone by now. Or at least I hope so

I don't plan to make 300km/h runs on the autobahn on these but might hit around 200km/h on some straights.

I have not tested neither R888 nor A048s yet. Last season I ran on 1200EURO (all 4) street tires which was completely stupid as I need to replace them before MOT... This year I replace my studded 17" Audi TT wintertires with these RB5's. My car will never see snow again.

Not yet mate. Just done stroking my motor where we found a hairline crack in the exhaust mani. Waiting for a new ss PPT mani from Arnold at pagparts. Also have to map the car for E85 before I have a go at the track.

Will be done by the end of June (depending on delivery from the US)...

Well I think I've found a set of nearly new kumho c03's. Going for a hard/medium compound on the fronts and medium on the rear. I'll be testing them in 2wks, will make sure I report back

Tires work ok. I got to high pressure after I filled with nitrogen and set them to 34psi. After 6 hotlaps they showed 41psi.... The shop didnt give me nitrogen at all.

Anyways, after I adjusted the pressure they grip pretty well.

They are piss poor in the wet and make some noise when driving over smooth surfaces.

For the price they are great, but Ill get R888 or 048 next time

Dyno the car tomorrow on E85.

Assuming you use for a few more trackdays and then go r888 or a048 be very interesting to hear how you compare them. I have been running mainly r888 [plus one pair of a048] and i intend to give these maxxis rb5 a go next and probably the silverstone s585 tyre as this seems to be the cheapest non remould version of a similar sort of tyre.
