I had my car RR'd when it was standard back in June and completely forgot to ask....basically it looks like ive got about 55bhp lost in transmission which is about 25% to 30% loss, is that normal??

Fly wheel bhp : 170.5
at the wheel : 123.0

drag output : 47.5

yes that was when it was standard....its not anymore...being rolling roaded again soon hopefully. not sure on the rollers however everyone elses seemed fairly spot on

dont over look the fact that fly figures are estimated lads

the whp figure sounds about right, transmission losses usually amount to around 20% (as a rule of thumb say), but vary between dynos

i'd say would also do with condition of each indivual car....maybe not drastic but would of thought a difference anyway

transmission losses vary hugely from RR to RR.
dyno's take the at the wheels figures and add the rolling losses to it to get you "flywheel figures"

The coastdown losses can be exaggerated by many factors including tyre pressures, brake drag, touching the brakes, etc etc.

to coin a popular phrase, "Dyno Lottery" (TM) ;)

so when everyone on here talk about their bhp are most people referring to it at the fly? unless stated at the wheels. Take it this also means cars like the clio 182 is 182bhp at the fly but not the wheels

lol cheers bill...i knew you were impressed by interpro anyway :p

nothing on the dyno plot to say its interpro, but i've seen their work in action

they made ickle ibiza glow cherry red a few years ago during several runs on it. way way too long a run.
