It doesnt seem to work i press the thing on the wiper stalk and it doesnt change from outside temp. The car has had the centre air vents changed to house a deck is it possible something was cut?

bump, having the same problem here - is some sort of reset needed by Seat?

Yep sounds like connection has been lost when the vent was modded
