True "power" output of 2.0TFSi

Question: Seat list the power output of the Leon 2.0 TFSi as 185BHP.... My car has a "BWA" engine type fitted, which, according to both Seat & VAG this is 200BHP engine.... not that I would complain:p

So...What is the real output?

i would say 185bhp too.

Bet its a different map, or maybe something silly like a different throttle body

always remmeber on the old Xr2i and RS1800, they had the same engine bar a different throttle body , swap the throttle body and the 115bhp xr2i went straigh to 130bhp.

Simple, but did the job.

probbaly more chance its just mapped different on the Leon. but not sure as the FR will definately be 200 or there abouts.

I think the OCtavia VRS is higher output than the Golf GTi, 203 bhp or somthing like that.

Was always led to believe the Cams in these were different aswell

However, back to subject - I think that power output difference will be down to mapping based around intercooler location and possibly other variable 's such as wheel/tyre size? But I could be wrong

Yep the cams were different, not quite as simple.... I had one BTW...

Anyways, back to discuss VAG not Ford!

I would imagine the output would be slightly more as mk1 Cupra's have been known on here to R/R at nearly 200bhp when they are stated to be 180bhp, this also comes down to the old dyno lottery too....

Its the same 2.0T in the golf but tuned to 185, the FR will have the 197 map (same as gti) and the cupra will be in 240bhp guise apparently. The cupra may have some stronger internals but I cant see why to be honest.
